Florida Engagement Session: Emily & Samantha

October 19, 2014

Sam and Emily are not your typical couple in any way. Before they met, they shared a passion for providing help, hope, and healing to those facing serious life challenges. They both worked for The Crisis Center in Tampa, Sam as an EMT and Emily as a Sexual Assault Advocate, but they actually met through a mutual friend.

Upon meeting at the beach, sparks flew and something magical happened. Though both had worked under the same roof without ever knowing the other existed, destiny brought them together and fate would ensure they would not part.

A Florida Engagement Session

Sam and Emily put into their own words thoughts on their relationship:¬†”I did not know love before I knew her. I believed love to be a passing moment, or a feeling that comes and goes. Now I know that love is an energy moving from my heart to my hands, with which I embrace her. Love is enjoying all that life brings. It is hope where there is pain. It is joy in every day moments. Love is understanding, and allows us to grow. It is knowing that when everything seems to be falling apart, I am grounded through her. We met one year ago, and we could not be happier.”

The couple held their beach engagement session on Honeymoon Island State Park in Florida. Their magnetic personalities were impossible not to capture in their images. Their photographer considers their bond “cosmic” and “magnetic”. It “connects their souls and creates a relationship founded on chemistry, understanding and embracing life with a sense of adventure,” she says.
