A French Quarter Engagement Session: Shannon & Allie

Sidney Lopez

Allie and Shannon met at a local daiquiri shop. When it came time for a proposal, Shannon had taken Allie out for her birthday to their favorite bar in New Orleans. Allie pulled out a ring and asked Shannon to marry her, giving herself the best birthday gift ever!

The day of their engagement session, they both had their hair and makeup professionally done and they color-coordinated their outfits. They chose NOLA as their background and they went all out. Their engagement session was amazing and one of their best shots was taken behind their favorite bar where they were engaged. They love that their engagement photos will last a lifetime – they’re thrilled that they will be able to remember how hot they were when they got married.

Shannon and Allie began planning the wedding immediately after getting engaged. Shannon is naturally organized and loves to plan parties. She made a list, ran everything by Allie and they were able to relax once all of the vendors were booked. Things got pretty busy about six months before the wedding. One thing that saved them from a lot of stress was allowing the bridesmaids to wear what they wanted. She told them the color, dress and shoe color, then let them choose everything else.

The brides recommend to other couples not to, “listen to other people’s opinions ‘cause there will be plenty. Do what makes you and your boo happy.”
