Indiana Grooms: Dan & Randall
The day after a federal judge struck down Indiana’s ban on same sex marriage, Dan & Randall headed to the Marion County marriage bureau and made it official. It was June 27, 2014, and they’d been together for 13 years.
Just 20 days prior, on June 7, they had posed for an engagement photo session; their first photography shoot together, ever.
The Indiana grooms met when they were both working as color guard instructors for the Lawrence Central Color Guard. They chose to stage their photo session in Indianapolis, where their relationship had begun.
In their 13 years together, Dan and Randall not only wove their own relationship together, but they also built a web of friends around them. “We have surrounded ourselves with an incredible group of family and friends,” they said. “It’s a group that supports who we are both individually and as a couple.”
