A note from the couple’s photographer: Michael and Samir met at a political party in the melting pot that is Washington, DC. Their different backgrounds did not keep them apart in any way. Michael is Jewish and from Alaska, while Samir is Indian and from Missouri. Once they met, they were inseparable. During Michael and Samir’s courtship, they learned a lot about one another and traveled to far flung places–including Alaska, to campaign.

Their Washington DC engagement photography session was based in Georgetown and included the Potomac River and the Kennedy Center as backdrops.
