Wedding Florist + Choir Teacher Engagement: Cody & Tyler

Jenny DeMarco Photography

A florist and a choir teacher, destined to meet while waiting tables one summer, fell in love. They dated, and traveled together, including their first trip to Napa Valley, and to Boston where they attended a Red Sox game and had their first dinner date.

While Cody & Tyler were meant to be, their proposal didn’t always seem to be so. First, Cody had trouble locating his passport and delayed his departure by a day while he obtained a rush version. Then, every time he tried to propose in London, Tyler would ruin the moment. Finally, after dinner one evening, following another failed attempt at the London Tower Bridge, Cody simply asked as they walked down a sidewalk.

The two grooms-to-be love a good brunch, estate sales, traveling, and doing anything with their dogs Chloe, Seven, and Bonnie. Cody hates every music style that Tyler loves. Cody is classical, opera, and a little pop, while Tyler is more country, pop, and Christian. They plan to see Kelly Clarkson and Pentatonix, and clearly each one is excited for opposite reasons. In the car, a country station is usually playing while Tyler sings at the top of his lungs. He confesses he is a terrible singer, but thinks it’s hilarious that Cody has to cope and teaches singing for a living! The two are in the process of buying their first house together, an exciting start to their new lives.
