Arizona Woodland Baroque: Styled Photo Shoot

Julius Photography

December 7, 2014

The creative team that designed this vivid inspiration session aimed to “juxtapose formal, gilded Baroque opulence with a wooded pine forest”, proving that there are never two elements – or two people – so different that they can’t be combined beautifully.

The photos are a perfect harmony of tradition and the avant garde: a multi-layer wedding cake with a “naked” top layer, and a formal table complete with tapers set al fresco in winter.
The photographer incorporated deep red with metallic gold and silver, set off against the natural earthy green and brown tones to create the dramatic contrast in the designs. The metallic touch even carried over to the gilded fruit on the cake. Vintage furniture pieces and various props like the antique phone created tableaus that would be perfect backdrops for candid guest photos.

The model grooms wore formal tuxedos and tails with custom-made double-vested breasts adorned with golden buttons. Top hats completed the look.
