Azalea Garden, Florida Elopement: Ann & Emily

Live Happy Studio

December 23, 2015

Ann & Emily met online. They were fans of the same show and found each other on a self-described “geeky” website. Both wanted rings and a proposal, so when the time came, they both proposed.

Emily took Ann to her favorite aquarium in Monterrey and arranged for them to get a special, behind-the-scenes tour. She popped the question overlooking the bay.
They considered a big wedding with their whole wish-list of guests, but the planning and costs were out of control. Ann and Emily are busy artists and really just wanted to be married and have a good time celebrating. They called Disney and Universal and set up some rooms in Orlando over Christmas. They found obtaining a license a simple process and were married with      Ann’s parents and Emily’s brother there to witness their union.

The brides ultimately wanted a simple and memorable wedding – just a courthouse ceremony and a fun vacation with family to follow. Originally, they were not planning to hire a photographer at all, but saw Live Happy Studios’ work. They were happy to find that just three weeks before the wedding, the studio was available!

Ann went a little dizzy when she repeated her vows. She couldn’t believe it was happening to her, but everything was perfect.

Ann recommends to other couples that a little planning goes a long way, but not to get “too tied up in the planning” that you forget what the day is all about. For same-sex couples, she suggests not being afraid to call ahead and ask if you’re not sure of something. Better to know in advance!
