Black Tie Minnesota Wedding: Chris & Antonio

Aug. 6, 2016

Chris proposed to Antonio on Valentines Day 2015 with most of their closest friends present and involved. Antonio wasn’t expecting it at all. In fact, he had a friend who was getting married that summer, and she was looking for an engagement party venue. She told Antonio the day before Valentine’s Day that she wanted him to “run an errand,” and he said, “no, it’s Valentine’s Day and Chris hasn’t told me the plans for the day yet.”

Antonio talked to Chris who told him to go ahead and go. When they got to the “venue,” Antonio walked into a friend who handed him a rose. Another friend from Virginia was there and started to record him. He quickly figured out that something else was up. As he continued to walk down to where Chris was, he was handed rose after rose by friends who held signs depicting the timeline of their relationship. By the time he got to the end, Antonio was in tears and Chris proposed.

Chris and Antonio loved the architecture of their venue and its grand feel, which matched the black tie theme they wanted for their wedding. The planning was quite extensive because they wanted everything to be perfect. It took them over a year to work out the details – and they couldn’t have dreamed of a better wedding!

Antonio’s favorite memory of the day was marrying the love his life. “It was so magical and honestly something I will remember forever. Standing at the altar together was so touching and the ceremony so emotional,” he said.
