Modern Downtown, Pennsylvania Wedding: Jason & Matthew
Sept. 6, 2015
Jason and Matthew met on Match.com in late August 2011. After exchanging a series of emails and talking on the phone, they planned their first date for Oct. 9. Both sushi lovers, they decided to meet for lunch, which was followed by hours of conversation at Starbucks. The rest is history!
On Christmas morning 2013 they exchanged gifts, one of which was a letter from Jason to Matt, neatly folded in a glass box. Once Matt finished reading the letter, Jason was kneeling next to him and proposed.
The grooms knew from the beginning that they wanted a wedding near their home in Allentown. The revitalization of Center City Allentown inspired them to incorporate the area into their day. They fell in love with The Hamilton’s industrial, modern design and location. They envisioned a wedding different from the traditional banquet facility or hotel event.
Jason and Matthew both have favorite lucky numbers (3 and 9) and wanted to incorporate them into their day. They purchased custom rings from Susan Bella Jewelry, 9-mm wide to represent September and 15 diamonds to represent the year. Each diamond is .06 carats to represent the day. Amazing.
The wedding day came together smoothly. Jason had an early start to the day escorting the ladies to Clementine Salon in Bethlehem. The wedding party gathered at the Renaissance where photographers and videographers awaited to capture the getting ready experience. Jason and Matthew took first look photos at the Allentown Rose Garden/Cedar Beech Park, and in center city Allentown.
The evening concluded with a gorgeous hour on the Hamilton’s outdoor patio. Signature drinks named after Cooper and Jackson brought even more personality to the event. The Hamilton’s chef and his team prepared a fabulous dinner for all 90 of their closest friends and family members, followed by an amazing evening of dancing and connecting with guests. The reception ended at 10pm with an after party at The Dime.
