NY Inn: Holly & Aimee

Sandi Rufo Photography 12
Holly & Aimee got hitched on Nov. 16, 2012, at the classic Three Village Inn in Stony Brook, just a little over an hour outside New York City. It was a quintessential autumn affair: Warm fall tones, loved ones all around, and plenty of laughter.

The Three Village Inn is the perfect image of charm, history and coziness. Originally built in 1751, it was eventually purchased by one of the country’s most prominent ship owners, who used it as a summer home. It later became a tea house, and over time evolved into the venue it is today, overlooking the Stony Brook harbor.
Holly & Aimee’s wedding began with a candlelit ceremony and ended with an all-night party. The brides, who decided to get ready together before the ceremony, both wore vintage white dresses and colorful shoes (with matching nail polish). They also chose matching hair pieces and bouquets.
Holly and Aimee went to high school together, but they didn’t get to know each other until years later. They both had just gotten out of relationships, and began talking to each other about the type of person they would really like to be with. Soon, each woman realized she was describing the person right in front of her. Once they started dating, they just knew it was meant to be.
