Philadelphia Love: Erin & Sheara

Erin & Sheara’s wedding was celebrated not only by their family and friends, but also by tailgaters gathered next door for a Phillies game. The baseball park is right by the American Swedish Historical Museum, where the brides got hitched on June 2, 2012.

The two women, who both play for the Philly rubgy team, invited friends of theirs who play on several different teams. For that one day, all rivalry was set aside and the ladies partied together to celebrate the Philadelphia love story of Erin and Sheara.

The ceremony was held at the museum, where gold and blue ceilings provided all the necessary decor. Each bride was escorted down an opposing set of stairs by her father, and met in the middle. Their close family members sat nearby, while other friends watched from atop on the balcony.
As the brides walked around the area for a photo session, tailgaters cheered them on and even offered beer. The reception was held on the front lawn, amidst DIY decorations that the brides had prepared. Each guest was gifted a monogrammed wine glass and a kazoo, and after a night of dancing in front of the museum in the wrought-iron courtyard, the brides made their “kazoo” exit.
