Vermont Backyard Wedding: Hillary & Vanessa

Floor Three Photography a
Hillary & Vanessa carefully chose 12 of their favorite people to witness their marriage and celebrate their love on Aug. 25, 2012, at a lovely backyard in Sutton, Vermont.

With impeccable attention to detail and lots of artistic talent, the brides handcrafted much of the backyard wedding decor themselves. From custom made signs to games and photo displays, the brides thought of everything. The brides even built a totem pole featuring cartoon versions of the couple, and provided a vintage typewriter for their guests to leave them notes.

The brides also included their family and friends in important roles throughout the day. Vanessa’s mother officiated, Hillary’s cousin catered, and friends of the couple, who are wedding photographers, handled the cameras. Hillary and Vanessa met while working together at a coffee shop in Seattle, Washington. They both love the outdoors and travel, and eventually moved across the country to Vermont, where Hillary was raised.
