The Southbridge Hotel & Conference Center recalls the charm and grace of earlier times, while including modern day advantages and luxuries. Nestled along the scenic Quinebaug River, the property provides a retreat-like setting for your guests to relax and enjoy their event. A magnificent clock tower rises above the 100-year-old façade of the American Optical Company, which has been painstakingly preserved, to create a unique focal point. In addition the originaly Marble Staircase from the Company was preserved and is used by all kinds of events for memorable photos.

Scenic surroundings and luxuriously redesigned interiors recall the grace and charm of earlier times. This is a distinctive setting for weddings, special social occasions and business events. The elegant Crystal Ballroom is perfect for receptions, formal dinners, holiday parties and reunions. Two private dining rooms lend an intimate feel to smaller gatherings. From spring through fall, the courtyard and outdoor venues offer pleasant views of the landscaped grounds and peaceful river beyond.

The Southbridge Hotel and Conference Center staff went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend so special. Lisa and Jen were super helpful in the months and weeks leading up to the wedding - they made sure that everything was coordinated during the weekend and were extremely responsive when I had questions. In terms of the rooms, our guests were very happy with the sizes of the rooms (huge!) and how comfortable the rooms were. The hotel lounge was also an awesome bonus - not many hotels in the area have a bar/lounge to begin with. The one at the Southbridge Hotel and Conference Center is gigantic, with pool tables and dart boards to add. It was a great way to do a meet and greet for our guests the night before the wedding, and have an after party after the wedding. It was a great place to socialize without the worry of having to travel far. Overall, my husband and I were extremely satisfied with the hotel and highly recommend it for guests of weddings in the area!

Southbridge Hotel and Conference Center was the perfect choice for our wedding reception! The grounds are beautiful and the marble staircase inside is a great backdrop for formal photos. My husband and I did the majority of our planning long distance from NC & they were incredibly accommodating of our limited scheduling opportunities. We worked with Lisa during the beginning planning stages and she was very nice and easy to work with. Our menu tasting was a great experience and they went all out, really helping us understand what our guests would be enjoying. For the remainder of the process we worked with John and Jennifer and they were AMAZING! The took care of every little detail we could possibly think of and even some that never occurred to us. The hotel took care of setting up everything including photos, place cards, favors as well as the normal room set us and they worked seamlessly with our outside vendors as well. Our wedding was the weekend of the Pan Mass Challenge bike race but the hotel did not let that chaos affect our day at all. Nate Lucier at the front desk even went out of his way to help book me a suite the night before the wedding (even though the room was previously booked) so that my bridal party would have somewhere with enough room to get ready and I wouldn't have to deal with any extra travel stress the morning of our wedding. Our reception was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious, and the timing between courses was perfect. Everything looked beautiful, all our items were arranged perfectly and John and Jennifer took care of everything we, or our guests needed.
