Marilyn handed all of our needs from beginning to end. Her servers the day of were fast and attentive. Margaret was her assistant the day of and was extremely attentive. The place was beautiful and I would highly recommend the venue

From start to finish, all of the people and services were wonderful to work with. The best part of the experience was working with Lauren Petroff, our wedding event coordinator. I cannot stress how much I enjoyed working with her. She has a bright and cheerful personality. She created such a stress-free yet personal experience when it comes to wedding planning. You can tell that she is compassionate about her job and really wants to help the bride achieve what she envisions the reception to look like. She was flexible with her time and always responsive with her emails. I think that is what sets the Boston Marriott Cambridge from all wedding receptions vendor because of their strong event planning team. I did not feel stress at all and I got so many compliments on how beautiful and elegant that the wedding reception was. All thanks to Lauren and her team! I highly recommend all brides to book the Boston Marriott Cambridge and request to work with Lauren! She's a sweetheart and goes above and beyond in her service.

We are thrilled to be having our reception at the Boston Marriott Cambridge. Several other locations we visited tried to sell us up on many items we were not interested in. They didn't listen to the fact that we are an older couple with children in college. At the Marriott, they offered the most value for an elegant Cambridge setting. Caitlin Mahoney was available on our schedule and is helping us craft a beautiful reception. We can't wait!

We held our 5/16/15 wedding at the Marriott in Kendall Sq. What initially sold us on the venue was the great rooftop garden & a good indoor back-up space, the convenience of being right at the T and free validated parking for guests! Things got off the a slow & rocky start with our original coordinator. Three months before the wedding we were reassigned to Lauren Petroff! Lauren and the whole team were very accommodating! Our mom's can't stop talking about how great Lauren is: she sent cheese plates to their rooms, scouted indoor photo spots when the weather looked iffy, etc. We got married on a windy and overcast Saturday. The team at the Marriott encouraged us to still do the ceremony and cocktail hour outside in the garden. The arbor we brought for the ceremony had a hard time in the wind. I was certain they would ask us no to use it. Instead, Salem and his team got sandbags and rope to secure the arbor! Our super short ceremony ended before the cocktail hour was supposed to start. The staff took it in stride and quickly began passing trays of food and drink. We rented cornhole (bean bags)- the guests loved them! The staff even moved the games inside to the foyer so guests could continue playing during reception - great for non-dancers! Lauren & Salem kept an eye on everything. They noticed some of the groom's family was outside when we were about to do introductions & brought them inside. The delicious food was served quickly. The servers went out of their way to keep the kids in attendance happy. Salem put out presents in our suite so we didn't have to carry them. Everything was great. We highly recommend the venue!

Wonderful staff, extremely knowledgeable and very professional. They were always available to meet with me and were available by phone or by email constantly. On the day of the wedding everything went smoothly and I never felt stressed out or worried because I knew they would handle everything. I loved working with Jill Ziemba and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding venue.

We looked at dozens of venues and had very specific ideas of how things should go and what the food should be like. ( I am a caterer by trade and making things perfect was key to this event and this MOB was not taking a back set to anything that was not right) The Marriott took the time to meet with me more then once and even had me meet with their chef to make sure things were served they way I wanted. Their extra efforts were truly appreciated and they matched my vision as close as is humanly possible without me being in the kitchen. I got to relax and know that my daughter's wedding was being handled professionally 100% of the day. Thank you Jen, Katherine, Salem and all the other folks who helped out!

Having my wedding at the Boston Marriott Cambridge was a fantastic experience. From start to finish, all of the people and services were wonderful. The Marriott raises the bar when it comes to quality and service, and my wedding was no exception. I highly recommend this hotel for any wedding or function, and am very thankful to all the staff for my first rate experience.

A little more expensive than other venues we looked at, but well worth the extra cost. They went above and beyond on our wedding day and gave us the perfect day to remember.

This place is great, they offer alot a flexbility with there packages. Its not cut and dry, its like building your own wedding package around what they offer. Romy and Jen are two of the people to talk to. And the rooftop garden is lovely.

I struggled finding a reception venue in Boston for my 2012 wedding. Either they were beautiful but came with an outrageous price tag or cheap and not appealing. I was worried for a while until I found the Boston Cambridge Marriott. I looked at their pictures online and thought immediately that it would be out of my price range but I was wrong. I found an affordable package. The room was gorgeous and the photos we took in the roof top garden came out amazing. The food and the service was top notch.

The good: they did a fairly good job on the day of the wedding. The food was good and there were no issues that resulted from their side. The bad: payment processing and communication was one of the worst we had to deal with across all vendors. Seems like different parts of the hotel were not well integrated - accounting, event planning etc. The ugly: the event manager changed in midst of the planning and caused a month of inactivity and unresponsiveness.

Don't waste your time here. Absolute nightmare. We went through 3 separate "Event Managers" in our dealings with this hotel. Where do I start After reviewing some other places around time, my wife and I regretfully decided to go with Boston Cambridge Marriott. Due to the fact we have a large number of family coming in for the wedding from out of town, it was important to be in a central location that was easy to get to. Considering the out of state guests, we chose to have our Rehearsal Dinner at Champions here at the hotel as well. This way, guests were not forced to find transportation to and from the night before. Worst. Choice. Ever. The food was terrible and the service was even worse. Some of our guests waited over 2 hours to get their food, while others (Including my son) never received their meals at all. That was the beginning of our Wedding Weekend and as you can imagine, my thought was "It can only go up from here". Wrong. Valet was a complete disaster. Unorganized, slow, unpleasant, rude and had an attitude (to both me and several of my guests) The Front Desk staff was combative, unpleasant, unaccommodating and most certainly unhelpful (Again, to both me and several of my guests) My wife and I am very simple. We don't require anything over the top, nor would we expect that. However, for the amount of money we spent with Marriott, I expected to be treated with a bit more respect at the least, my guests as well. Who wants to stay in a hotel that is unfriendly and unwilling to make your stay comfortable? There are hundreds of hotels in the city we could have selected to have our wedding at, and yet we decided to use the Boston Marriott Cambridge. You would think the staff would at least go above and beyond A LITTLE BIT as a token of appreciation on our big day, but that was not the case. Instead, it was the total opposite.
