Bride, do yourself a favor and don't look any further! Book them, stat! Jessica and Annaleigh and their ENTIRE team were absolutely amazing. I felt like they had everything handled, and I didn't have to worry about a thing...which is a miracle for a Bride leading up to and on her wedding day! A small hiccup happened with the table cloth linens (totally my fault because I changed the color without seeing the fabric physically), and when I got there I didn't like the color I changed it to. I told my two girls, and they told me they would handle it. I didn't even question whether or not they could fix it for us. All of our guests were able to stay on site, which was fantastic and made the reception/partying that much more fun :) The venue setting is unreal, and the photos are amazing! The bridal suite we used to get ready was perfect for the 5 of us and our makeup/hair vendors. My family stayed in the 4BR lodge haus, so if you have a large wedding party or family, that's the perfect spot for you! I was constantly emailing them with questions, and they were quick to reply. My husband and I are vegan, and the chef created a brand new vegan menu for us for our day, and everyone loved the food! John, our personal server, was on point the whole night, making sure we had a drink in our hand and that our bellies were full. The Mary's Lake Lodge team made our day so incredibly special, and our plan is to go back to celebrate our anniversary next year. That's how much we enjoyed our stay :) Thank you Jessica and Annaleigh and the whole team for an amazing experience!

My husband and I got married at Mary's this May and couldn't be happier with our choice! The lodge itself is full of character and provides a beautiful setting. Another huge plus were the condos surrounding the property. They accommodated everyone on site and offered a better experience for groups than separate hotel rooms. Aside from the physical attributes, Lea and her team are what really make the Mary's experience. From our first meeting with Lea we could tell the whole team really cared about making our day special. Everyone was available and kind and met every one of our needs in a professional, competent and caring way. As our wedding day arrived the weather became a concern but Annaleigh walked us through every option and ultimately let us decide how to handle things. Their flexibility allowed me to fulfill my vision of an outdoor ceremony in a break in the rain and the team seamlessly moved cocktail hour inside without me even realizing the switch. Our wedding day was just as we imagined and the best part was we didn't have to worry about a thing!

The staff at Mary's Lake Lodge was absolutely amazing! My (now husband) and I walked in on a whim to check out the place and Annaleigh took the time to show us around and tell us about wedding options. We ended up booking that day and 8 months later we had our beautiful wedding up there. The place and the surrounding area is gorgeous! The staff is incredibly accommodating and made our day so very special. Everyone there is so nice and worked with us to make our big day something from a dream!

We were married in Estes Park, Colorado in February 2017. We used Mary's Lake Lodge to host our welcome dinner and to provide rooms for half of our guests. We had a mixed experience with Mary's. Throughout the process, communication with their event staff was spotty and it took them a long time to respond to emails. They had some turnover during this time which could have been the cause. One example of this is we had a contract that scheduled payments quarterly over a 12 month period. They did not process any of these payments and ended up just invoicing half of the payment on the day of the event. This may not seem like a big deal, but had we not been planning appropriately this could have been an issue. The actual event, the room was set up beautifully and the guests absolutely loved the BBQ buffet that was set up. One complaint here is that we agreed to leave the buffet open for 2 hours as we had guests arriving later and on the day of, the food was put away after 1 hour. That being said, when confronted with this fact, Mary's created multiple too go boxes for the guests who were late. Our largest complaint with Mary's on the weekend is that they committed to leaving the bar at the restaurant open until 11 on both Friday and Saturday and directly told us that it would stay open later if folks were present buying drinks. This was absolutely not true. The bar closed at 9 both nights even though when directly asked on Friday how late the bar would be open the following day, after the wedding, the bar was already closed. We had planned to use the Mary's bar for the after event socialization and on both nights had to make other arrangements.

Overall, our experience with MLL was pretty good, but there were some frustrating aspects of working with them. Like many others mentioned, Ashley is incredible, but she now handles other parts of MLL and Lea handles weddings. Responsivity was pretty hit and miss. Sometimes Lea was on top of things and I heard back from her right away, other times it would be days or weeks before I got a response. My in-laws really struggled with her communication in planning the rehearsal dinner. Annaleigh also works weddings, and I found her to be the most responsive and helpful. The front desk associates, however, are a mess. I ran into a lot of problems with the room blocks leading up to the wedding. No one ever seemed to know what they were doing and their responsiveness was terrible. The price for MLL is super reasonable for an Estes Park venue, and the lodge is super pretty and cozy. We had the BBQ buffet for our rehearsal dinner and the Italian buffet for the wedding. Both meals were really good! We also did signature cocktails, and when we went in for our tasting, the bar tender spent a lot of time helping us come up with the perfect drinks. I would definitely recommend having a day-of-coordinator, because we didn't have one for the rehearsal dinner and things didn't go as smoothly as they did during the wedding. For instance, no one released tables to get food even after being reminded several times, so my father-in-law had to do it. We were supposed to have a welcome reception with desserts and hot cocoa, but the hot cocoa wasn't set up, so people didn't have anything to drink. They also didn't follow through with my request for a house rather than a Cesar salad for the wedding. A bunch of little things like that irritated me, but nothing big was ruined. I'd definitely recommend MLL, but a day-of-coordinator is a must and if you have special requests, be sure to go over them before the wedding to make sure the wedding staff doesn't forget!

The venue was perfect! It was difficult getting ahold of them at times, but they were so kind and helpful the weekend of the wedding. It's also great because if you're having a destination wedding, everyone can stay there and the party can continue!

Lea is one of the most helpful ladies I have ever met. She was able to answer every question that my fiance and I had, and then some. I'd recommend her and this venue to all of my friends that are getting married!

We looked at 2 venues, when we saw marys lake lodge it was a no brainer. Pricing was moderate, the room was beautiful , scenery incredible, facility full of charm. The pricing included many services including table settings and busing service in the area. We booked the venue in March and we got married at the end of September, our guests got to view Elk fighting during mating season, we were woken up by Elk bugling, When the venue room closed as scheduled, the bar was open for the party to continue. I was able to select the table layout, linens, they provided day of wedding coordination. I got married on a Sunday and there was a Saturday night wedding, logistics wise that did not impact the setup of the room, but did cause a lack of rooming for my guests on Saturday night, but the venue did ensure as bride and groom we taken care of.

Having our wedding reception at Mary's Lake Lodge was an excellent choice. Lea, Annaleigh, and Missy all worked together to make the event run seamlessly. Lea was very responsive during the planning process and willing to talk with me by phone; I always felt much better after getting off the phone with her, as she was very helpful, answered all my questions, and had great ideas. The day-of, the Grand Room looked absolutely elegant, our guests loved cocktail hour on the deck with the lovely view (and "best goat cheese ever" I heard) and the meal by Chef Alan was delicious. He was willing to put together a vegetarian Italian buffet at our request and most of our guests didn't even notice the meat was missing since everything was so tasty. We really appreciated day-of coordination by Annaleigh, Lea, and Missy. Many of our guests traveled from out of state and stayed at Mary's Lake Lodge, which they really enjoyed and gave the weekend a family/friend reunion feel. The only negative was that the front desk of the hotel was not as organized or professional as the wedding staff and was a little difficult at times (mixing up some reservations, forgetting to give out our welcome bags). Their front-desk staff experienced some turnover during our engagement, so I hope they have some better systems in place by now. Overall, I recommend Mary's Lake Lodge as a reception venue!

I couldn't have imagined a more perfect venue for our wedding day than Mary's Lake Lodge! Ashley was so amazing throughout the whole planning process. She coordinated everything the day of the wedding which made it all stress-free and easy. We had a destination wedding so about 60 of our closest family and friends stayed at the resort the entire weekend of the wedding. Everyone commented on how beautiful it was and they all had the best time! Thanks for everything!

We couldn't have picked a more beautiful venue than this! Ashley was great from the time we booked the venue to the wedding day. The food was excellent-we choose the BBQ menu, the staff was friendly, and the rooms were great.

This venue is gorgeous! The ceremony site is breathtaking and the reception site is perfect. We had about 140 guests so I thought the reception room would be a little crammed but it wasn't at all. Everything turned out beautifully. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars on quality of service was because our rehearsal didn't exactly go as planned - the wedding coordinator was busy with a wedding that night so we had to wing the rehearsal ourselves. Besides that tiny complaint, this venue was perfect.
Marys Lake Lodge responded with the following comments:
Hello! Thank you very much for your wonderful review!! I just wanted to say I really enjoyed working with you and your amazing family, and am so glad you enjoyed your wedding day! I do apologize for not being able to stay at the rehearsal the night before. I'm sure if I had to attend a rehearsal on the day of your wedding, and something happened on your wedding day that you needed me for, then you wouldn't appreciate me leaving for a rehearsal on your wedding day... that is why I could not be at your rehearsal as long as I wanted, I just wish I could be in two places at once! But I appreciate your feedback, and have actually just hired another wedding coordinator to prevent that situation from happening...we are just getting to busy for one person anymore! Again, thank you so much, you were a pleasure to work with and I hope you will come see me again for an anniversary! Take care! Sincerely, Ashley Mulch Co-owner and Vice President of Marys Lake Lodge
