We had an amazing night at Padonia Park Club. This venue is amazing, we knew when we came here this is where we wanted our reception to be. Even though Padonia Park is a place where many families go to swimming in the summer, there is a ballroom they use for receptions and other events. The Pros: 1) We love the Ballroom. They have the ability to change the color of lighting, the brightness, they even have a projector where you can put up a powerpoint. We had our lights set to a dimmed blue, it really helped the atmosphere for the reception. 2) Their food is delicious, their appetizers are good, they have packages for alcohol or for different foods if you want to spend more for different selections. 3) We loved working with Lauren, she did an amazing job helping us decorate for our reception. When we needed something, we felt comfortable asking Lauren, she was completely cordial and professional. The Cons: 1) We chose to have our wedding ceremony at a church because we didn't feel comfortable doing it by the lake since there are a bunch of families and kids at the swimming pool which you can see in the distance. 2) We had close to 130 guests, we didn't think parking would be an issue, but some families who were there to swim at the park were parked in the area for the lakeside ballroom. It made parking an issue since there were so few spots for the last guests who were arriving to the reception. In the future, we would ask Padonia Park to try and find some way to manage parking better. We loved Padonia Park, we thought they offered fair prices and gave us a night we will never forget at their venue. There are so many great things about this venue should you choose it.

Shout out to Bre Williams and Megan Amico, they did an amazing job! They had all my pieces laid out perfectly, as a wedding planner myself at Koduah Creations Décor I was nervous finding some one to trust not to mention I live in Seattle and was planning the wedding in Maryland. But they put me at ease, Megan kept in touch with emails it was awesome. I had a power point presentation of all my details sent to her, and was in total SHOCK when I walked in that day and they had captured the moment way beyond our expectations! The site provided great sceneries for all our photos which gave our photographer lots of room to be creative, food was excellent says ALL our guest :) As I refer most of my Maryland clients there as a venue for their events, I do so with confidence because they did an amazing job with all the fine details of my wedding. Friendly staff with open minds. The venue has a great amount of space and just the perfect amount of privacy (given that there aren't two events going on at the same time.) My wedding planner (Sarah Park Events) did an awesome job of turning the outside venue into an elegant, whimsical and beautiful area. Before she did that, all I could picture was trees, tents, wooden planks and a lot of empty space. The staff at Padonia Park Club worked perfectly with me and my wedding planner to take the outdoor tents down and show flexibility. It was much appreciated and my wedding was perfect start to finish. My 2016 wedding at Padonia Park Club was a little shy of spectacular. Mostly because myself and my coordinator did most of the work. Padonia is a great place to have your wedding if you want the water and beautiful landscaping in your pictures. I found Padonia Park Club to be very affordable. They seemed very accommodating to my décor ideas and the theme of my wedding. The food tasting was awesome and the bartenders were great. My guest raved about our signature drink. There was a lot of drama with Padoina Wedding Coordinators quitting the company in the middle of me planning the wedding. I was assigned a total of 3 coordinators. And each time it was like planning from scratch. This was very frustrating. No one seemed to read the notes of the previous coordinators and things that were approved I was constantly being told that's against policies but the previous coordinators ok'd it. I was very disappointed in Padonia Park Club but my guest enjoyed my wedding. I received nothing but compliments on the food and décor (which I provided). I would recommend them to other brides but I would caution about having a outdoor ceremony it was very noisy and the parking was limited. Overall if I had to do it again I would still choose Padonia but would start with my hired wedding coordinator from day one. Please hire someone with your vision, not out to make money for Padonia. My guest enjoyed themselves and had no clue the behind the scenes drama and that's what matter most.

When I first went to look at Padonia Park Club and sat down with the consultant, I was very impressed, she was friendly, helpful, and very easy to talk to, and I was pretty much sold. After signing the contract and meeting with my event coordinator it just went downhill. She would take weeks to respond to my emails, she was over a half hour late for our second to last meeting. I was notified less than 2 weeks before my wedding by my new event coordinator that the previous one had quit. I remained positive because she seemed more professional than the last one. I found it strange that my Deejay was the one checking up on me throughout the course of the night and getting my drinks for me, while my coordinator leaned over the bar most of the night looking bored. I was told that my wedding would be the only event taking place that day, however they were having a bullroast under the pavilion located outside, and although it didn't interfere with the reception inside, it did interfere with the parking. I will say that the food was good, and the location is nice and so is the venue. It was also reasonably priced. I just hope in the future for the sake of other brides and their guests that they hire a more adequate event staff.
