Almost 2 years later, people still tell us how amazing our wedding was at The Manor House! It had something for everyone who comes to your wedding! Your guests are not all stuck in one big room like most venues. Like many other people have said, it was very difficult getting in touch with Kelley which made it a very stressful month before the actual wedding, but when the day came, everything was taken care of and it was absolutely the BEST day of our lives!!

It was an incredible venue and Kelly is amazing to work with. All my guests loved the views, the food and the house. The only complaint I have is with the cleaning staff because my bridesmaids and I were staying in the guesthouse the night before and it was not clean from a couple who had spent their wedding night there. The staff did clean it up quickly and left us a bottle of champagne and Kelly waived the fee for the night so they did a good job at making up for what happened. I would not have wanted to have my wedding any where else.

The Manor House was the perfect venue for our vintage inspired wedding. We were pleased with the location, just not the professionalism of the staff. It was so hard to get ahold of the day of coordinator. I had to contact the owner several times to basically "tell" on the coordinator. Not what you want to be doing when you are paying a lot of money to have a corrdinator you didn't even ask for. But overall, the day was perfect, beautiful, breathe taking! Wouldn't have changed it for anything.

The manor house is stunning and the staff there is very friendly. The day of the wedding was perfect, but there were a few hiccups. The coordinator forgot to bring us our marriage license and by the time we realized we never signed it our pastor was already gone. So ended up having to marry ourselves at the end of the night, which is fortunately legal in colorado. Other than that, the coordinator was a huge help and took a lot of stress off of me the day of. The other recommendation I would have would be to work on their communication, usually I would email them and not hear back for maybe a week or weeks.

The site itself is GORGEOUS although it could use a coat of paint on all of the door and window trim. Guess that lends to the "old home" feel. Overall our event was great but dealing with Kelley was very frustrating as she is VERY slow in responding to emails and phone calls. VERY glad to have had an outside wedding planner because if it had been only Kelley I would have pulled my hair out. I must say that when I did hear back from her she was always pleasant and accommodating. There was nothing we asked for that she said no to. The day of the event she was GREAT. Just know that you will wait to hear back from her. Also, they had tip jars at the bar that I was not informed would be there and since I paid a tip on food and bar I don't think they should have been there. I wasn't aware of it till the end of the night or I would have had them removed. VERY tacky I thought for a hosted event. The brides room is small. Plan on spreading out in the upper rooms and have some tables set up to accommodate someplace to put brides/bridesmaids bags, clothes, etc. We had everything spread out all over the floor and it got very crowded and everyone's things were mixed up by the end of the night. No where to hang bridesmaids dresses etc.

The venue and location are beautiful! The process leading up to the wedding day was seamless! Kelly, the coordinator & venue manager did her best to accomadate all of our requests. She was very easy going and had many great suggestions on where to place decorations and how the wedding day would flow throughout the venue. Kelly is very professional and friendly but it seemed as though EVERYTHING was on her plate making it impossible to oversee all of the details of a 130 person wedding AND manage a staff! The venue's schedule is often set to have availablilty for two weddings in one day. This can be common for one venue, but most often there are 2 different sites for the weddings to take place. This being said, when you rent the Manor House as a venue, you rent the entire venue. Which translates to a "get 'em in, get 'em out" mentality. Our biggest complaints of the day are: 1. My only "bridezilla" moment...The weather turned south early on our wedding day and we planned to have the ceremony outside. Come time for the ceremony, all of our guests were seated, all of the wedding party was lined up, and Kelly (who had claimed responisbilty to cue everyone to start walking) was nowhere to be found! It appeared to be minutes from raining, wind blowing and I was trying not to lose it! Kelly turned up within 5-10 min, but had to leave again because she forgot to bring the ring bearer pillow & flower girl basket/petals. Fortunately our ceremony was on the short side & everyone was enroute to the house before it started to rain! It didn't ruin my day, but it was irritating. 2. We planned couple's pictures during cocktail hour. Our agreement with Kelly was that at a specified time, the guests would be "moved" into the tent for dinner. Twenty minutes after our specified time we decided to call our wedding party to have them cue people to be seated in the tent. 3. We paid $36/person for a buffet that ran out of food before all of our guests had served themselves!!!

PROS: A historic mansion that has amazing views of downtown Denver and the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Also, has a backup ceremony site upstairs for bad weather. When you reserve the site, you get the entire area! When we first visited in October 2015, the venue was decorated by the owners in a strong fall theme, which helped in our selection; they confirmed the use of the same decor for our wedding the following October. The venue had a suggested vendor list that helped us in our vendor service selections, and Kelley, the main site coordinator was willing to answer questions along the way. At the wedding, Kelley helped ensure we received food/drinks throughout the day, and assisted any guests if they had questions. CONS: While very adamant about payment and appointment times, they almost always ran late themselves. The final payment was also charged and posted to my credit card twice, and when I reached out to let them know, they blamed me, so I had to dispute with my bank. They also requires use of their internal caterer, Perfect Bite Catering. We had several communication hiccups, delayed responses, and lack of clarity on pricing with the caterer. Changing items from our ‘a la carte’ menu did not impact the per person cost – not sure how that’s possible...? Also, on the day of our wedding the caterer did not make our main dish for the brunch buffet! This main item was confirmed several times with them; the error could not be corrected, and due to lack of pricing transparency, we had no way to know if the refund we pushed for was a fair value. On the day of our wedding, there was minimal fall décor added from the venue compared to the previous year. Also they failed to setup our decor as we had asked and provided pictures for, and there was an overall lack of coordination with our other vendors, despite the fee we paid Kelley. Overall, the venue is beautiful and the day was great – but the many overlooked details and hiccups should and could have been avoided.

The location is beautiful (our photographer went crazy!) and the actual building very historic. Our guests thought we'd put on a great reception/luncheon. However the staff was typically very difficult to get a hold of, when we did finally get in contact with one another they were very accommodating, but on the day of our event several details were unfortunately forgotten. Our final walk through was more of a sit down and discuss. Up front we were not told, even though we had asked specifically, all of the costs of the event. Pros: Extremely flexible, however, I'm the kind of bride that would appreciate a little less flexibility and more assertiveness in a manager and management staff. I still recommend it, but make sure you ask EVERY question you can think of, and give them as much detail as possible on EXACTLY what you want, not too great at working with you on ideas for things. Get things in writing!

Amazing venue - guests loved the place. but beware! the site coordinator is NOT customer oriented after the initial 'showcase and signing' piece. Know going into it that you will have to initiate all communication about your event and will likely have to drive down there to get an answer. I did enjoy my wedding there, but it would have saved me a lot of headache to know upfront that the site coordinator there doesn't do any coordination until literally the day of.

I originally contacted Manor House on February 9, 2015 (via email and phone conversations) when I was told that the month of May 2016 was "wide open." On March 20, 2015 I went on my walk through of the venue with my parents. I really liked the venue (besides the dead mouse in the basement) and told the Event planner that I wanted May 29, 2016, in which she sent me an estimate of the costs for this particular day and listed this date as available in the estimate. Immediate booking of the establishment was delayed due to my fiance's fathers untimely death. I called today to put the deposit down for May 29, 2016 and I was told by the event planner that this previously guaranteed day had been booked since July 2014. In order to get the day before May 29, 2016 it would be an additional $4,500!! If they are this unorganized on a simple thing like dates for bookings what else will be unorganized on the wedding day? I think this is some sort of ploy to get brides to pay more for other dates. What else will they get wrong for other brides?? ..... BIG DISAPPOINTMENT, don't be the next unhappy bride :(
