Virginia & Julia

Our story is long, about 14 years worth but here’s a five minute version of it:

I met Julia through her sister back in high school. We became fast friends and soon strange emotions started to take over. What is this strange feeling? Good thing it was mutual: we came out to each other at the end of the summer of ’94 and then we started dating in October. No, we did not date all this time. We broke up in March of ’98 (she moved out to LA and we were having growing pains): spoke off and on till 2000 when I moved to TX. By then we were with our respected “gfs”. Once in a blue moon I’ll shoot her an email or chat with her online, all in passing. Then in the summer of 2004 I broke up with my gf and as it happened so did she with hers. Our mutual friend asked if we wanted to see each other again during the winter since I was flying back home for a visit and Julia was going to be there at the same time. Long story short, I saw her again and old feelings came rushing back. I wondered if we could have a relationship because I lived in TX and she lived in CA. It worked out, we did the long distance thing for about three months and then she move out to TX with me. Second chances don’t come often- I asked her to marry me at All Saints in Pasadena, CA. So it is fitting to get married there. Finally, we get to spend the rest of our lives together.
