Kristen & Holly
What can I say? Five years later and still going strong. Not many words are needed for a love that was meant to be. We found each other and found ourselves. It took time, work, healing and love but believe me, Grandma’s old saying of “You will just know when it is the one.” is so right. I just knew.
She proposed in the Bahamas. We were on a cruise that so happened to land on our 3 year anniversary. The boat was rocking to the waves as the sun came up. She grabbed my hand so we could watch the sunrise from the deck of the boat. All of a sudden she dropped to one knee and proposed! I had no idea it was coming and I was jumping with excitement(and trying not to fall) She tried to stay on one knee to put the ring on but the boat rocked her to the ground several times so she stood up and put it on. Oh! It was exactly the way I dreamed of. So romantic..yet so funny! We sat there in stitches as we walked arm in arm, lovingly and holding on not too fall off. It fit us perfectly. Not to mention we had the most incredible vacation in the Bahamas after the engagement. All I can say is I am a lucky woman and April 17, 2009 can’t come too soon.
