Lindsey & Meghan

We met in junior high around 1996. A few years later, we became best friends and dated for 2 years in high school, but went completely separate ways for college. Our lives went in different directions, mostly due to religious convictions on my (Lindsey’s) part. We were in contact very sporadically from 2000 to 2005, and each time we would talk, we were both reminded that we were soul mates and that we were still completely in love with each other. We were reunited in September of 2005, when Meghan came to visit me in Houston (during the weekend of Hurricane Rita!!!). After re-connecting, we quickly realized that nothing had changed between us throughout the years, and we decided to give our relationship another try. Meghan moved from San Diego to Houston weeks later, and the rest is history… “Within the mystery of life we met… It was written in the stars.”

I love you in this way because I don't know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep it is your eyes that close.

Looking Back on the Big Day

Favorite wedding moment: Our friend wrote a song for our ceremony. We had not heard it beforehand. Meghan's brother played the upright bass, and our other friends sang and played the piano. It was such a meaningful song and one of the most special moments of the evening.
First Dance song: At Last
