Theresa & Kim
We had known each other through some family members of mine, however, we had never really carried on a conversation or really paid attention to each other. On May 9, 2007 a group of us ended up all going to a bar together. I had received some news about my grandmothers illness that almost kept me at home and Kim was possibly meeting the girl she was dating at the bar. As the night went on, I had asked Kim to dance with me and had to drag her on the dance floor. We hit it off to say the least and from that moment on I knew that this person made me feel something that I had never felt but at the same time there were so many complications and hurdles that we would face in order to continue this relationship. Besides, I wasnt even sure if she felt the same way! I was estatic the next day when she texted me, and I made up some lame excuse about leaving my jacket in her car, which I had to make sure I hid before she came over so she wouldnt see it setting in my room!! From there on out we were inseperable!!
We tried to hide our relationship for about a month and finally in a big blow out, all of our family and friends knew about it, which was tough considering I was not “out”. It was from that point on that our relationship was tested more than it ever has been! We went through more in 6 months than most couples face in a lifetime. We were tested, pushed, lied to, threatened, and in the end had each other to lean on and cry to. There was about a two week point where we literally couldnt take anymore and I was an emotional wreck, and that was the point where we could have called it quits, everything would have went away, and we would not have had to deal with any of it. But we were strong and I knew at that moment that I was fighting and putting everything on the line for someone who was well worth the fight and I was not going to give up or lose her.
In the end, things with our family and friends blew over. We now live a life surrounded by people who truly love and accept us. We have a relationship that works so well, without us even trying. We live by the line of “Live, Laugh, Love” and we do it without hesitation, without a second thought, and we do it so well! We are getting married (yes, its a wedding whether or not its legal) and we will spend the rest of our lives enjoying something that is so rare in couples; its uncoditional love for one another!!
Love InspirationWe inspire each other, along with many friends and family members who have witnessed an uncondtional love between us.
