Vaughn & Donzell
It was early morning when Donzell walked out of Wendy’s with his breakfast sandwich and large lemonade in hand. I was heading towards Prospect Park walking my then 1 year old shiba inu ‘Valentino’. We met on the corner of Flatbush Avenue and Empire Boulevard both waiting for the light to change…not realizing how much both of our lives would change in the process. For the next 4 hours we walked through the park enjoying our new found friendship and talked about virtually everything in our lives.
Donzell is truly my fulfillment, in that the areas I have deficits in, he helps to complete me. He is the missing pieces to the puzzle that is my life. We connect on a multitude of levels that makes us our intellectual and emotional equals, and I wouldn’t have it any other way and I know in his own zany, colorful and humorous way Donzell would say the same of me.
We both have amazing extended family members that celebrates our union with tremendous pride and I could not imagine a day going by without him being there…truly being my new immediate family.
I love him very much and he loves me just the same. As a couple we have opted to alter our paths in life by choosing to be together and redefining what makes us uniquely us in this ever insane world.
