We’ve Got a New Attitude (And Logo)!

If you did a double-take coming to the site today, or had to look twice to ensure you were, indeed, checking out the correct Instagram page, your eyes have not deceived you. Just in time for LGBTQ Pride Month, GayWeddings did a little sprucing up, and created a brand-new logo, which we feel is much more reflective of our community and of you.
Our new logo represents this company’s guiding principle: All love is equal. With two interlocking hearts enclosed in a circle, we celebrate unions of two people joining—period. The circle also symbolizes an important relationship. We’ve been a part of the WeddingWire family for one year now, and it’s important to both companies that everyone knows we’re not alone in celebrating love. Lastly, we chose a modern, fuchsia color as a nod to purple—a classic symbol of Pride.
In short, #WeDoLove. We’re proud to be in the business of love, and we’re super-happy to continue serving and supporting all couples in their wedding journey.
Although I've spent the last decade riffing on everything from suburban politics to race in media, documenting love stories as content manager of GayWeddings.com definitely takes the cake. A proud alumna of Howard University's journalism program, I've written for Parents.com, The Huffington Post, xoJane and Essence magazine. When I'm not writing, I'm debating the merits of Drake, obsessing over frozen yogurt or plotting my next international adventure. I want to feature you on GayWeddings.com! Always feel free to drop me a line at community [at] gayweddings.com to share your engagement, wedding and love stories.
